Baitcasting
Fishing technique with a baitcasting reel. More precise than spinning but requiring more practice to avoid tangles.
Fluorocarbon
Fishing line almost invisible in water due to its refractive index being close to that of water. Ideal for clear waters and wary fish.
Hard lure
Rigid artificial bait imitating a small fish. Used for predators (pike, perch, zander).
Metal lure (spoon)
Shiny metal bait that attracts fish with its reflections and vibrations in the water.
Soft lure
Artificial bait made of soft plastic imitating worms, crayfish, or small fish. Very versatile and effective on many species.
Baitcasting reel
Revolving spool reel mounted on top of the rod. Offers great casting precision for experienced anglers.
Fixed spool reel (spinning)
Classic reel mounted under the rod. Versatile and accessible to beginners, used for spinning.
Spinning
Lure fishing technique with a fixed spool reel. Versatile and accessible to beginners, suitable for many species.
Braided line (PE)
Very strong and low-stretch braided fishing line. Allows anglers to feel bites at long distances and set the hook quickly.
